Kristin is an accomplished Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in both the United States and Australia. Initially forging her career in the US, Kristin spent a decade at universities including an impactful tenure at the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, before moving to Australia in 2021. Her academic journey began with a PhD from the University of Iowa, enhanced by a clinical internship at the Seattle Veterans Administration Medical Center and a postdoctoral stint at Boston University.

Now settled in Australia, Kristin holds a pivotal role at the University of Western Australia as an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the clinical psychology postgraduate programme. She also leads the Emotional Wellbeing Lab and chairs the WA branch of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy. Kristin’s research, recognised and awarded by prestigious institutions, delves into emotional processes affecting depression, anxiety, and wellbeing in adults.

In her therapeutic practice, Kristin engages with a broad demographic, offering services to adults, adolescents, and children. She is proficient in cognitive and behavioural therapies, particularly specialising in acceptance and mindfulness-based approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
